I have been thinking about blogging for awhile. So finally it is here, but I am still not really happy about it. I am using FlatPress open source blog engine.

I just have one little problem and that is I can not rename directory’s and files easily. Now you must be wondering why would someone want to do that. Security is the reason. Here is a case scenario: someone announce that there is a vulnerability in FlatPress that allow an attacker to login as privileged user. An hacker makes a tool that will scan the web for this vulnerability and try to exploit the it when the exploit succeed the tool will report the web page to the hacker.

Renaming directory’s and files will prevent those tools to exploit it easily. I have to note that you are still vulnerable but if you are security oriented you will notice and fix it.
