Who

You have probably been through the welcome page or have seen the title at the top. I am a student at Avans University of Professional Education which, is located in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. Currently I am in my third year of university and doing an internship at Critical Software in Coimbra, Portugal. Below you can find a little summary of my personal details:

Hobbies

My hobbies? Well, I enjoy reading. In particular embedded and computer security papers/books. Sometimes I play with my robot. I am also interested in Japan and recently I started learning the Japanese language.
I love to sport, I practice swimming and Shaolin martial arts. Also I have practiced Capoeira for almost three years.

Linux

I think it was about around 2000 that I got interested in Linux operation system. In the beginning it was easy, but after a while is started to really like it. Now is Linux my primary operation system, while using Windows only when I have to use software that are not compatible with Linux.
Most important reason why I use it is because for me as a student it gives me the freedom to develop anything I want with it. Tools are available for free and a little search on the web and you will find a fortune of information.

Goals

So what goal have I set for myself in the future? This is always an interesting question, or at least I think it is. My goal is to obtain my Bachelor Degree ICT at Avans and try to find a job. Develop myself further into a flexible and all-round software engineer. My primary interest is embedded devices especially FPGAs and with everything going mobile, this seems like a challenging market. Further goals include finishing my Japanese course, eventually visit Japan and probably some other interesting countries.
